Colt Officers Model Target 3rd Issue

Scarce Colt Officers Model Target Revolver serial #656872, 32 Colt New Police (32 S&W Long), 6" heavy barrel with an excellent bore. This early war gun (1941) retains about 99% factory blue with just a hint of a turn ring on the cylinder and minor freckling on the right side of the frame. The un-numbered checkered walnut factory grips with silver Colt medallions rate excellent but are slightly proud of the metal along the front and backstraps. The gun has the correct adjustable sights and it locks up like it just left the factory. The barrel is marked "HEAVY BARREL" and flanked by Maltese Crosses. The gun includes the original factory box that is correctly end labeled and numbered to the gun, factory sight adjustment tool, factory bore brush, test target numbered to the gun and a "Shooting Suggestion" pamphlet. Overall, the box rates very good plus with light edge wear on one side of the base and a torn corner on the cover. The inside has a number of moderate grease stains, the bore brush rates excellent as does the sight adjustment tool. The face of the target is slightly soiled but the back has a number of grease stains and the pamphlet is oil soaked. This lovely gun has seen very little use and a wonderful find for the Colt collector.
