HGO1911ANVIII Photo shows only one of a limited run of 100th Anniversary Colt Custom Shop editions of the legendary creation of John Moses Browning adopted into service by the United States Army in 1911. Finish is authentic, period correct blue on milled steel with authentic and correct markings throughout. The only redaction is the words Adopted / March 29, 1911 – United States Army on the left side of the slide, and a suffix to Model of 1911 – 2011 on the right side. Grips are correct cut checkered diamond type, and the plain beige box and wrapping paper is just like the originals. Serial number is identical font to the originals produced during World War II, marked at the correct place on the right side of the slide. Given the prices that the originals are commanding, this one is a bargain.
