The Weirauch Family of manufacturers in Germany are best known for their Beeman Air Rifles. This revolver, known as the Bounty Hunter, represents one of Weirauch’s pet projects, a quality, attractive tribute to the Colt Single Action Army Revolver. German initials HWS stand for Heinrich Weirauch Suhl, neighbor to notable manufacturers like J.P. Sauer and Sohn. Imported by EAA, this Colt Clone is virtually identical to the Colt Single Action Army Revolvers wielded by screen actors and cowboy action. Westerns have always been quite popular in Germany as well, hence this well made revolver. Construction is entirely steel, with blue steel finish. Barrel is 4 1/2 inch with traditional blade and notch sight system. Grips are dark stained German Walnut. Importer, of course, is EAA of Rockledge, Florida. Weight empty is 37 ounces, similar to the Colt Ancestor, and capacity is 6 rounds of .45 Colt Caliber caliber ammunition. Firing mechanism is traditional offset .325 smooth face trigger, white side spur hammer, floating firing pin, and transfer bar safety mechanism akin to its Ruger Competitors.
