Colt New Service Revolver

Colt New Service Double Action Revolver serial #339179, 45 Colt, 5 1/2" barrel with a bright excellent bore. The metal surfaces on this beautiful 1935 mfg. revolver retain about 99% plus original blue, the only discernible wear being some very slight sharp edge wear on parts of the frame and edges of a couple of the cylinder flutes. The bright-polished sides of the hammer remain brilliant with some very light water spotting near the spur, the color case-hardening on the lanyard loop is bright and vivid. The checkered walnut grips with silver Rampant Colt medallions rate excellent to as-new, they are un-numbered and fit precisely. This exceptional revolver comes in its original purple-tone, hinge-top box serial numbered to the gun on its underside. The box itself rates about excellent with only some very minor edge wear and a partial end label. This is a lovely Colt revolver that, while showing evidence of having been fired, could certainly pass for un-fired in its extremely wonderful state of condition.
