SS# 6K3xxx From a mid-west estate sale a Smith and Wesson model 48-2 22 magnum cal. in a S&W wood presentation case with original cleaning kit and a S&W jacket patch. At the sale they said this was an original gun and unfired however after close inspection although there is no drag line around the cylinder I can't tell if the gun is unfired or not therefore I am listing it as used. The wood grips are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips (see photos). The metal finish is also excellent with no wear (see photos) and all appears to be original. I am not a collector or an expert and know very little about this type of gun (therefore I took photos of every mark or stamp I could find on the outside of the gun). At the sale the only other information about the gun was that it had been in the family for a long time. After close inspection this gun is as close to factory new as a gun can be it has a perfect bore and a 6" barrel. The only fault I can find with this gun is a tiny ding on the frame by the trigger (see photos).
