1902 S&W .32 Winchester Revolver

Manufacturer: Smith & Wessen Model: Winchester .32 Year manufactured: 1902 Caliber: .32 Barrel length: 5 inches Frame: 5 screw Serial#: 53332 Asking price: $700.00 I bought this gun off of a friend and my original plan was to flip it and make some quick cash. So I put it in a pawn shop but after a day I had second thoughts and went and got it back. During it's stay at the shop however it was entered into the system for a background check. Well about a month after I had taken it back, the police department contacted me saying it came up as a possible match to a crime they have on file. So I went down to the station and gave them the gun so they could determine if it was the correct weapon or not. A week or two later I was called back to the station, as it was not the same gun. But the positive of all that running around, was that they had to delve quite deep into the gun's history to make sure it wasn't the alleged weapon in their case. I do not have a certificate of authenticity (i'd be asking more if I did, lol) but I do have the information from the bothell police department on the firearm, which includes the above information, and that it was a special order for a sheriff in Kentucky, and was shipped directly to him from the factory back in 1902. It's a very cool piece, and has been fired recently, and is still in excellent working order. As the gun is over 100 years old, it does have wear and tear, and has obviously seen a lot. But it is mechanically sound, and an incredible historic piece. I am also including a box of 50 bullets and a cleaning kit with all the appropriately sized brushes. The kit has been opened but never used. The gun could probably use a cleaning before it is fired next (it's been sitting in my closet for a couple months now). I have gone over this thing with a fine-toothed comb, and the only things stamped on it are the serial number, and "32 Winchester ctg" on the side of the barrel. So I assume that is the model, though this was a special order, it may be custom from other models of that era.
