Seller Description
From its home in New England comes this attractive Davis Derringer. From its 091000 range serial number, it was manufactured in 1986, 3rd year of production. Manufacturer was Davis Industries of Chino, CA, who enjoyed a brief splash among the Jennings Raven Jiminez family in the 1980s and 1990s. It is the direct ancestor to current production Cobra Enterprises Derringers. Type is two shot derringer, single action, with a 10 pound vicinity trigger pull. Construction is mostly zinc alloy or zamak, with steel barrel liners, firing pins, springs, bushings, and internal parts, and with chrome plated steel hammer and trigger. Finish is chrome plated. Chambering is .32 ACP Caliber, capacity is two shots. Barrels are 2 3/8 inch six groove left hand, with a zinc alloy ejector. An operator who wants to eject .32 ACP fired brass from this handgun should bring along a screwdriver or some sort of punch, since the .32 ACP does not have much of a rim for the extractor to contact. To its credit, the Davis does have a cross-frame safety bar that prevents the hammer from striking the firing pins, but since the firing pins are free floating, this pistol can readily fire by striking its muzzle hard enough. Transfer mechanism is a rotary 4 leaf clover looking device that alternates the two position firing face of the hammer. It is a very bad idea to ever place your hand over the muzzle of any loaded firearm, especially a derringer like this one or even its pricier competitors. We learned this the hard way about 50 years ago. This is not a quality pistol, but it is an attractive descendant of the original Remington. Surface wear on this specimen is moderate, pocket, key, and change contact wear. We rate it as Very Good, 75 to 80 percent vicinity by our estimate. Photos, at any rate, ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves. Bore, chamber, and mechanism are all bright and clean. We do not believe it has been fired more than 50 times. We will offer our customary 7 day return privilege, but buyers should be advised that if you want a dependable handgun, you have to spend over $200. Unless you have collector interest, stay with a good little North American Mini Revolver. We’re offering the Davis Derringer in the photos for only $ 119.00. Not transferable to civilian residents of California, Illinois, District of Colombia, Hawaii, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, or any jurisdiction with a Melt Law or Approved Firearms Roster. Any ammunition or personnel in our photos are Not included.
