Lori Lightfoot will no longer be the mayor of The Windy City.
Lightfoot lost her re-election bid this week, coming in third place behind two Democratic challengers, Paul Vallas and Brandon Johnson.
On Wednesday night, the one-term mayor addressed a crowd of supporters.
“Obviously, we didn’t win the election. But I stand here with my head held high and my heart full of thanks,” Lightfoot said.
“You will not be defined by how you fall. You will be defined by how hard you work and how much you do for other people,” she added.

Of course, one can argue that the main reason Lightfoot lost was she didn’t do enough for the people of Chicago.
As Fox News’ Tucker Carlson pointed out in a recent editorial (see video above), crime rates spiked under Lightfoot.
Not only that, but she explicitly directed law-abiding citizens to stand down in the midst of this crime wave, even during the George Floyd riots when she knew the CPD was over-extended and officers were taking hours to respond to 911 calls.
Lightfoot never wanted the people of Chicago to protect themselves or their loved ones, to “take matters into their own hands,” as she put it.
Because she, like so many other Democrats, believes one’s personal safety is the responsibility of the government, exclusively. As a result, Lightfoot no doubt created more victims during her tenure as mayor.
Tucker observed, “By embodying every one of her party’s excesses over the past four years Lori Light inadvertently helped to expose them. Here you had a complete buffoon — someone who ran around bragging about having a large penis, we’re just telling you what she said — somehow running one of the greatest cities in the world.”
“At times it didn’t seem that even Lori Lightfoot could believe she was mayor. She didn’t really care for the job,” he added.
Let’s hope Chicago’s next mayor learns from Lightfoot’s mistakes.

I am surprised not one media person found that clip and used it during her term and mentally unstable narcissist, blaming all of her buffoonery on her color rather than her ineptitude. I guess she. like most Lefties, believe first you are HANDED a job as a leader and then you are GIVEN people to do your job and blame if anything goes wrong. I believe in hiring the handicapped, but not anyone with her handicap. Make all racists sexist underachievers unemployed. Maybe then they will shut up.
