Vice News reported last week that UPS is voluntarily complying with the Biden Administration’s new rules regarding so-called “ghost guns.”

“UPS’s policy now clarifies that the company does not accept any firearms, frames or receivers, or partially complete, disassembled, or nonfunctional frames or receivers (as defined by the new federal regulation) unless those items have been identified and given a serial number in compliance with federal requirements,” UPS said in a statement obtained by Vice News.

Two companies have become early casualties of UPS’s new policy: Firearm retailer Brownells and Florida gun dealer Ghost Firearms.

“Heads up! UPS has made the decision to no longer accept Brownells’ packages. We are working to put an email together to send to customers who have their account defaulted to UPS, or who have open orders with UPS selected as the carrier,” Brownells informed its customers in a Facebook post.

Ghost Firearms owner, Joe Zatar, provided a letter he received from UPS to the Second Amendment Foundation (SAF).

“We write to inform you that UPS has learned that your company may be violating applicable laws concerning the shipment of ‘ghost guns’ to unauthorized location,” the letter states.

“In light of our concern, UPS has determined that it will cancel your account, effective immediately. Please note that any package found in the UPS system determined to have been tendered by GHOST FIREARMS may be seized and destroyed,” the letter continues.

Zatar is reportedly concerned about packages he has already shipped to customers.

“I just shipped more than $30,000 worth of products,” Zatar told the SAF.

“We do not ship to states where they’re not allowed,” Zatar added. “We are in total compliance. We had ATF in here just two weeks ago, and they told us we were completely legal.”

UPS Media Relations has not responded to telephone calls and emails seeking comment on their new policy, according to SAF.

Stay tuned for updates.

When their company colors are the color of poop, I guess you can expect shitty service, no ?

  • clifford July 17, 2022, 2:56 pm

Before I closed my doors I refused to use UPS. They were always “loosing” or “delaying” my shipments. Told all my vendors FedEX only!

  • Richard Fox July 17, 2022, 12:29 am

Reminds me of when the Postmaster General attempted to ban THE CATCHER IN THE RYE in 1959 by refusing to ship…of course I would not expect Congress to step in and say, “Hey! that’s not in your job description” this time around…

  • Jon Breese July 16, 2022, 10:18 am

I will no longer use UPS for any shipping and encourage those businesses, I deal with, that are not firearms related to do the same,

  • Wes Griffin July 15, 2022, 3:12 pm

Had a FFL and UPS stopped delivering ammunition a year ago…
Lost over three thousand dollars and no response from UPS..
Never use these leftist companies .

  • R Jones July 15, 2022, 2:59 pm

This is an easy fix, don’t do business with UPS. Let the woke companies see their numbers drop.

  • Michael monahan July 15, 2022, 2:07 pm

    Ups just lost my business

Sent a Marlin lever rifle a month back. It arrived looking like the case hsd been run over by the ttuck. You could even see tire markings on the paper. Stock shattered, sights bent and barrel bent. Wrapped in bubble wrap inside a hard rifle case. Sorry inadequetly packaged. I think it was specifically targeted.

    • Jerry July 17, 2022, 1:59 pm

Crate it like a small coffin; what sick batard would target that? No, wait, i think i just answered that one…..

Anyone who has had this Nazi company: UPS, destroy their packages, should sue the Nazi company into oblivion. There has to be a lawyer out their who would be willing to take this on as a class-action lawsuit. UPS needs to be completely bankrupted and put out of business. Not only will I boycott them, I will no longer service their planes. Anyone who performs work on their business: trucks, planes, forklifts, warehouses and everything else should LEGALLY refuse to provide any enabling services to them.

Not to put to fine a point on it or anything but that sound decidedly close to cancel culture.
Not that I disagree with you though.

  • duane July 15, 2022, 11:31 am

they are probably just keeping the the packages for themselves for all their guns because we all know its ok for them to have guns and armed guards but no one else.im not using ups for nothing any more they can go fu*k them selves

My firearm shipping experience (long time ago) was
    a) Local generi-ship Pony Express would not even follow their own contract with UPS/Fedex to accept properly packed/marked shipment – no more business for them!
    b) Fedex depot accepted pistol in box prepared per their marking rules readily. No big deal.

Fedex has been my preferred shipper ever since. From the main article, foo on UPS for terminating account based on “maybe” violating law.

  • Gary Mulverhill July 15, 2022, 8:56 am

Simply don’t use UPS for any shipping what so ever. Since when did UPS become judge, jury, and prosecutor? The judicial system is set up for detection and apprehension of illegal activity, may be UPS should remember that.

  • krinkov545 July 15, 2022, 8:27 am

There is no bottom with these vile disgusting hate filled antigun commie swine.

  • Larry C July 15, 2022, 7:33 am

I wanted to ship to a friend, a stock for a Weatherby rifle. UPS absolutely refused to take it. Fedex had not problem at all.

    • Cantxsailor October 26, 2022, 12:52 pm

It’s not a stock it’s a carved wooden object. I don’t use anyone other than usps and have never, in the 30yrs I’ve been in business, ever had anything lost, damaged or questioned.
There is no need to tell them what’s in a package other than it’s not, hazardous, perishable, liquid or batteries of some sort.

UPS has been anti-gun for some time. They began the policies of extra Haz-Mat charges for shipments of reloading powder and primers back in the mid-90s.

It started as a $5 charge in addition to the cost for shipping. Last I heard it was up to $20 and that was years ago.

    • Elapid King July 15, 2022, 6:19 pm

Technically, powder and primers are HAZMAT.

  • Alan Mainer July 15, 2022, 7:21 am

The letter from UPS seems to be directly related to one store or individual who somehow is breaking the law by removing or attempting to remove the serial numbers from firearms. That’s illegal to start with according to the ATF and if he’s shipping them to places out of the state of Florida, he’s breaking Federal laws. This seems to be an isolated incident and I don’t blame UPS for not wanting to be a part of the shippers shenanigans.

    • Patriot July 15, 2022, 9:27 am

Hey Mainer, how about you get your head out of your ass and check the laws first, this company is doing everything perfectly legal.UPS is being their usuall scumbags, lets hope all gun owners start letting everybody know that UPS,is corporation run by libtard boot lickers, and stop using UPS for anything, these companies understand only one thing, PROFITS,when they go down, shareholders will come looking for why..

    • Rouge1 July 15, 2022, 9:32 am

I had ups refuse to send gun parts that were sent to my house by ups a couple of years ago. I now boycot them like I do the corrupt and incompetent usps. FedEx is still a competent shipper.

    • Emery Rice III July 15, 2022, 3:01 pm

Alan Mainer, Your complete ignorance of what an 80% lower is, is Exceptional ! There are NO SERIAL numbers on an 80% lower, as it is not a fire arm, it is only 80% machined. Would you call a car, a car, if it was only 80% built ? How about your house ? Would you close on your house and have it entered into the Court House records, if it was only 80% finished ? MAYBE YOU WOULD ! ! ! You are posting solid proof, that you just can’t fix stupid !

  • Darth Kur July 15, 2022, 7:15 am

What a bunch of virtue signaling garbage. I won’t be using UPS for anything anymore. I hope they lose a massive amount of business over this.

  • Slim July 15, 2022, 6:00 am

No more shipments for UPS from me.

  • SuperG July 12, 2022, 9:01 am

Wow, UPS has gone full Nazi. I didn’t know they had the legal ability to steal their customer’s products and destroy them. Other, who have not had their vertical singled out, should keep in mind that it could be, and find other means of shipping.
