If you’re a fan of firearms that blend classic design with modern innovation, the Pedersoli Jakal .44 is definitely worth your attention.
My uncle loves his model 7600, and this is reminiscent. This pump-action rifle, introduced by Davide Pedersoli, was a standout at SHOT Show 2025.
Build and Design
First off, let’s talk about its build. The Jakal .44 features a sleek, Cerakote-finished receiver that looks great and offers excellent durability.

The select walnut stock adds a touch of elegance, making it a beautiful piece for any collection. But don’t let its good looks fool you—this rifle is built for performance.

Power and Precision
Chambered in .44 Magnum, the Jakal .44 packs a punch. Whether you’re using it for hunting or target shooting, you’ll appreciate the power and precision it offers. The threaded barrel is a nice touch, allowing for easy attachment of muzzle devices or suppressors, depending on your needs.

Pump-Action Mechanism
One of the standout features of the Jakal .44 is its pump-action mechanism. This design not only provides a smooth and reliable operation but also adds a bit of nostalgia for those who appreciate classic firearm actions.
It’s a nod to the past while embracing the future of firearm technology. Check out these other Pedersoli posts.

Is Pedersoli’s Jackal .44 for You?
The Pedersoli Jakal .44 is a fine blend of style, power, and modern features. Whether you’re a seasoned shooter or a newcomer to the world of firearms, this rifle offers something for everyone.
It’s a testament to Pedersoli’s commitment to quality and innovation in the firearms industry. It will start shipping in the first quarter of 2025, MSRP is $2,145. What do you think? Are you interested?

At least this one looks like a rifle as opposed to the preceding lever gun. The price tag is still about double what normal folks can justify…
Any weapon with a threaded barrel should also be available in a nonthreaded barrel, not all shooters need, want or even like threaded barrels.
Would buy if i could AT LEAST mount a small red dot…fail there. This gun is targeted for older people in my opinion. A 20 year old with great vision is probably in general going to have or if he did blow this kind of money on something like this when he can buy a ruger american in a more effective caliber for 400 bucks. Since it’s targeted towards old guys like me..guese what..my eyes suck..all my carbine got red dots …i can’t see the sights real good anymore. The small dots are light and don’t ruin the sleekness of the guns too bad
I love slide action rifles. Make it stainless or nickel plate and I’m in!
CAPACITY ? ,,, does it also cycle .44 spl ? come on ,,, oh what – over $2K ??! , NM , lolol . NOPE
$2145? Ouch!
I’d look at it for about a thousand less.
I love this rifle. At over $2k, I will not buy one. Where is Remington, with the pump M760/7600? Remington made a great (M1500?) pump that uses AR magazines. Rossi made a “Colt Lightning” clone in .357Mag. A pump rifle is the berries! Stay safe. j
2145.00 are you serious?
Designed as a top eject in this day and age, with nothing drilled and tapped for optics. Inconvenient as well as overpriced. Fail.
Personally I’m not a fan of pump action rifles so, no, I wouldn’t be interested, especially at that price. I’m sure there’s some out there with the budget and interest for it though. I’ll stick with my lever action rifles.
Far too much money for a rifle like this.
Wish they would do this in 357 Magnum! Little flatter shooting and largely just as capable. Plus I don’t have to buy a new ammo.
Ditto , but I would prefer stainless ( if I had a choice). Also , at 1K less, WAY overpriced. Would have been nice if the made it capable of mounting an RDS.
Is the one behind it with the case hardened frame just a prettier version? That looks a lot better than the cerakoted one you’re holding.
Looks like the 46 Long Colt, Silver Spur: https://italianfirearmsgroup.com/silver-spur/
Not at that price.
Cool! I always wanted an IMI Timberwolf in 44 but I snoozed and lost out. A tad pricey, but it may have to come home with me.
Know what you mean about the Timberwolf. Wanted one in both .357 and .44 mag, bit just couldn’t make myself part with the money back then.
Bought one. Italian Firearms Group tells me I was the very first in the US to plunk down the cash. Hmmmm. They haven’t started shipping yet… early summer they say. Looking forward to it. I’ll post a review when it arrives.
