This year at SHOT Show 2022 I was introduced to a new company from Norway, Ulfhednar. While the name points to a viking heritage, it is a company made for and founded by shooters. And to that end, all of their products are designed for and by shooters.
Ulfhednar offers just about everything for long-range / PRS shooting. From full-blown carbon fiber shooting tripods with a super tight lockup, to range bags, to ammo management solutions, suppressor wraps, shooting jackets, the whole nine yards. And while they offer a lot of different support bags, one caught my eye.
The smallest of the shooting bags they offer is the Squeezy Rear Bag. I was immidiately drawn to it due to its size and weight. Shooting in the field makes you appreciate those two factors. And having a bag on hand lets you get away with way more shots. Whether you use it as a rear bag or throw it on top of a rock or in the “Y” of a tree.
The Squeezy Rear Bag is made of neoprene and full of non-circular media. This allows two things, on the one hand, there is plenty of stretch in the bag itself. And since the fill media isn’t uniform shape, it grabs onto itself some, lending to a stable support. The media is also hydrophobic, won’t absorb water, and is lightweight. The Squeezy Rear Bag measures roughly 3.5″ by 6″ long.
