No it’s not. No mention was made as to what grade of either material is being compared, so a very high grade aluminum alloy may very well have similar TENSILE strength to a lower grade steel.
That aluminum is typically thicker to achieve that, but it is possible to match certain grades of steel in tensile strength.
Yeah, in a tensile test often times certain grades of aluminum out perform steel with less plastic deformation before failure. This is entirely plausible. Do some research before you just nay-say from your armchair.
Love the weight and price, but would like to see some db reduction data too
