New at the 2016 NRA Annual Meetings from SB Tactical is an innovative new stabilizing brace developed in concert with Maxim Defense.
Based off the impressive Maxim Defense CQB Stock, the new SB Tactical stabilizing brace takes the best of the Maxim system and adapts it to SB Tactical’s innovative approach to PDW-style pistol stabilization.
The Maxim CQB stock for PDWs is designed to provide users with an easy to deploy stock that features multiple positions of adjustment for fine tuning the design to your needs. It features a knurled collapse button and built in sling mounts for quick use and modular adaptability. The system is extremely compact, while still being fully adaptable to your specific needs.

i like the oak style much better
Nothing innovative about this. It’s just another way to do something you aren’t supposed to and give the liberals ammunition to use against us about the abuse of a loophole. You all know damn well everyone is still shouldering these things even after the ATF stated that it is considered an SBR if you do it. I think things like this and the oil filter adapters/silencers do a lot more bad than good for our industry.
I think you’re wrong. I think the NFA and the government are bad for the industry. I think you’re blaming the victim here. In the spirit of healthy non compliance, I support these devices if they help law-abiding citizens get around all of the infringement that we’ve been assaulted with lately. I embrace the brace. Within reason, and with care, of course. I don’t shoulder my braces, but if I did, I wouldn’t do it in front of any BATFE agents, or on camera. Happy shooting.
Agreed. The ruling specifically stated that: “Regardless of how the weapon is held or manipulated by the operator, the wrist support device, of any configuration does NOT change the classification of the firearm”. That was the ruling, and that settles it. Chris- read the entire ruling before jumping off the cliff and expecting someone else to jump off with you, ok? We’re all on the same side here…
You got that right. Just another funny looking shoulder stock by another embarrassing name. Nobody’s fooling nobody.
I bet you have the ATF on speed dial in case you see someone shouldering it, too.
Pretty cool knock off idea of another rather pricey rail telescoping compact rifle stock adapted to bypass the SBR rules. But anytme they don’t mention the actual price of the item in the review, it’s always out there in ‘i really don’t need it if it costs that much’. territory. Especially when Shockwave technologies makes an ‘interestingly’ less bulky AR pistol brace called the ‘BLADE’ that only weighs around 6oz and costs 45. bucks?
So I guess if we all have to go gaga-googoo over accessories to ‘get around’ anti-Constitutional Totalitarian laws-INSTEAD OF JUST REPEALING THEM–then at least don’t get taken to the cleaners with this stuff. Kind of like them not wearing a condom while you’re getting bungholed.
Look guys, these items are just like everything else. If it’s too expensive for you, or it isn’t a good fit for your pet blaster, buy what YOU want. We should all be thankful that there is such a great supply of choices for this wonderful rifle and the amazing things that it can be built into. Colors, materials, barrel lengths, sights, optics, calibers, the choices are endless. Quitcherbitchen…
Freudian slip? Called it a stock…
Does that come with a disclaimer that says “Arm and cheek usage only”?
