Savage Arms has unveiled the KLYM series, a new line of lightweight, high-performance centerfire rifles for big game hunting.

The series showcases the company’s commitment to innovation and strategic collaborations, featuring partnerships with PROOF Research and Fine Ballistic Tools (FBT).

It includes updated versions of the 110 and Impulse platforms, tailored for demanding treks and remote backcountry hunts.

Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage, describes the KLYM line as a breakthrough for big game hunting.

“The KLYM line truly is revolutionary for big game hunting,” said Shimanski. “PROOF and FBT helped take us to the next level. Hunters accustomed to long hunts and backcountry expeditions that span multiple days and numerous climbs will appreciate the lightweight platform that maintains the ultimate in accuracy and reliability.”

“Everything about this rifle was made to perform as it stands up to the elements and puts the latest technologies in these comprehensive big game rifles,” she added.

Each rifle in the KLYM series features a carbon fiber wrapped, steel cut, and 5/8×24 threaded barrel from PROOF Research.

Coupled with FBT’s custom carbon fiber stock, these rifles offer hunters the ability to venture further and endure more challenging conditions with less burden.

The stocks are equipped with a one-button adjustable comb height, two sling studs, and a Magnaswitch system.

Nice rifle! I’d like to own one (and shoot one, of course). I don’t really see the value, though. Savage makes excellent barrels, but they’re not Bartlein or even Douglas quality. I did not see the Accustock mentioned (which I like). It’s not a chassis stock, either. I like the Accutrigger, but it’s not a Timney or even a Rifle Basix IMO. What happened to 7mm-08 or .270 calibers? I regard those as standard-of-the-industry chamberings (.243 and 6mm Rem. as well). Personally, I don’t see the big benefit in those new “designer” cartridges, unless you are shooting at VERY long range with long, heavy-for-caliber bullets. Nice rifle. Too much $s. Stay safe.

No 7mm rem mag offering in either platform? Seems like a big misstep, as it is one of the top five big game calibers in the U.S.
