Any GLOCK fans lurking out there? You’d think the best GLOCK news from the NRA show would be the release of the GLOCK 43. And maybe you’re right. I wouldn’t know. In order to get through the epic crowds surrounding the GLOCK booth here at the NRA Show, you’d need some form of mechanical advantage. Like a snow plow. Or a Caterpillar D11. But that’s not the only GLOCK story on the show floor.
Magpul’s changing the magazine game again. They added a GLOCK 17 mag at SHOT Show, and now they’ve got 9mm mags that fit the GLOCK 19. The PMAG 15 GL9, 9x19s aren’t steel lined–but knowing Magpul, I doubt that will matter much. The mags drop free, empty or loaded, and have an MSRP of $15.95.
The highlight of Magpul’s new lineup.
“Your fun gun just got serious.” That’s a nice slogan, and one that aptly describes the X22. While the Ruger 10-22 is a serious gun, there are those who tend to treat the rifle as if it were only meant for kids. While there’s nothing about the x22 that is inherently childlike, it would be a fine option for any shooter. It doesn’t weigh much, and the length of pull is adjustable.

Magpul continues to kick ass. This stock configuration is reason enough to pick up another 10-22 (mine is a take-down, and this is not a take-down stock). That take down stock won’t be far behind.
And if that’s not enough, Magpul has something for you AK fans. In fact this cements it for me. I’ve got Magpul furniture on my ARs, and on my Mossberg. I’ll have Magpul mags in my GLOCK, and my fun gun just got serious. And now my old side folder may just get a much less rattly folding stock.
The new AK furniture looks really good. It has nice clean lines and keeps within the typical AK aesthetic–in other words it doesn’t look like someone forced AR furniture onto an AK. And there is a matching forend, too. We’ll have a complete set in soon and dress up the old Kalashnikov. For those of you who don’t appreciate the DIY challenge of making furniture fit, check out Century–they’re rolling out guns with the full Magpul treatment now.
In the AK Furniture video, when they pulled the file away, they should have put a sickle down next to the hammer. That would have been funny.
I know that LWRC says you made a magazine for their new Six8. I wonder why you do not offer a 6.8 magazine for the rest of us?
Why? O’ why? Why couldn’t MapPul make the longer handguard without the need to sacrifice the AK’s own front sling mount and hand guard retainer to the dumpster god? You could have molded polymer around it and used the retainer to hold it in place, but no, you are forcing us to cut it off. Are ye heathens to abuse an AK so? What about returning it to original condition?
Magpul please make the same stock but have the option of folding to the left… to the left.
They have it folding to the right so you can still utilize the optic rail on the left side of the receiver.
Just as long as the bolt carrier doesn’t smack into the butt while firing.
Magpul, if you are listening….please, bring out the furniture for the Yugo AKs!!!!
There’s something about a man in a suit holding an AK which me very uncomfortable, but not in an entirely bad way…
