Meopta is entering the reflex optic market. One of the unique things about Meopta is they manufacture all their own products, this not only gives them a leg up on quality control but it allows them the ability to not settle for rebranding off-the-shelf options for their products. This is clearly reflected in the Meosight.[one_half]

The first thing that you notice is the low-profile design, which allows it to be mounted to the top of a handgun slide and still have the normal height sights available to co-witness with the red dot. This feature alone could save you $150 by not having to install suppressor height sights. Another feature that I think is a game changer, the battery is inserted through a metal door on the side of the optic that is held in place by two screws. This means that it is not necessary to remove your optic to change the battery!
This item should be available mid-year, but the price point has not yet been announced.
6.5-20×50/ HTR Scope (Hunt/Tactical/Range).
Designed for long-range hunting and precision shooting, these scopes feature a powerful magnification range and side turret parallax adjustment. The MeoPro 6.5-20×50 is ideal for hunting predators, varmint or big game at long distances, and its HTR variant for long-range hunting, tactical applications and target shooting. Bench rest shooters will especially appreciate the precise tracking and superior resolution of this scope. The MeoPro 6.5-20×50 is available with capped hunting turrets, and the MeoPro 6.5-20×50 HTR version features exposed target turrets. Four different reticle options are offered to meet a variety of shooters’ needs: Z-Plex, BDC, McWhorter HV and Windmax 8. Nice dotsight. What’s the price? The side insertion is a great idea but the screws aren’t such a great idea even if they’re captive.
I know, “The battery lasts a long time and its easy to change at home”… unless you’re out in the boonies and it dies due to cold or neglect. A slide latch would work and make the change a lot less of a hassle.
