Laserlyte, based in Cottonwood, Arizona, specializes in laser sights and laser based training aids. The company has created targets that record your hits from a Laserlyte training gun or a laser “bullet” that chambers in your gun and acts as a snap cap as you practice. You can even plink using their plinking can. Most of you will probably agree that shooting is fun. In fact, shooting cans is so much fun that you don’t even realize that you’re actually improving your skill set at the same time. Laserlyte has captured the fun of plinking with the Laser Plinking Cans, which flip over as you hit the target on the can. They have a range of 50 yards, so you can use them outside, in the living room or in your office–anywhere, in fact, because the system is nearly silent and uses no live ammunition. Laserlyte is asking an awfully big price for their product. Yes its a good tool to have and might save you money in the long run but they are really just recreating that old hunting game for nintendo. Almost everyone has a tv you can buy an old nintendo and like 10k games for less then $200. While I like not having to lug my tv around to practice its just too pricey. Knock it down to $100 or less and then maybe this would really take off otherwise they are gonna get no where
I checked out the website for Laserlyte. They’re all sold out. Cost was advertise as about $220 plus shipping. More than I want to spend!
I bought one of the TLB-1 targets with the display and reset target buttons and it works great. I bought the .9mm
and .45 cartridges to chamber in my Glocks and they are extremely helpful. I am a certified instructor and have to practice, so they save me lots of $. The caps on the cartridges will wear out after a couple K shots, but can be replaced for about $10.00 through Laserlyte.
Good investment, but I would rather buy the cartridges than practice with plastic.

I bought one of these. Was cheaply constructed and didn’t work. I got a replacement; equally cheap and, surprise, didn’t work. They wouldn’t refund what I paid for the “blue” gun so I’m stuck with it. Mine weighted a few ounces, appeared to be cardboard and would not react even when lased at point blank range. Make your own decisions but now you know it might not work; or last.
I hate to sound lazy but a second shot should set them back up ? ? ? just a thought
I get so frustrated reading all these stories because none of them give any clue as to what new and upcoming products may cost. It’s very irritating and ruins the article for me. It’s like dangling a carrot in front of someone .
Same with me. It’s as if they’re ashamed of the price.

I recently purchased a LaserLyte laser and the three soda cans. They are great fun and a great training aid. I use them as a resource to teach ROTC cadets. My in-laws could not stop playing with them. My wife loves them. The only downside is they are a little bit light sensitive so if you buy a set and keep trying to put them up and they keep taking themselves down, move somewhere a little less bright or adjust your lighting. Other than that, set them up around the house and go crazy!
