In late December via social media, EOTECH teased the release of its newest 1-10 low powered variable optic (LPVO). Bringing a few of these LPVOs out to SHOT Show 2022, I was able to see through them in person and was impressed.
Utilizing a 34mm tube and 28mm objective lens, the Vudu 1-10 is compact yet still allows for good light transmission by incorporating high-density, low dispersion glass, and an anti-reflective coating. The main tube body is made from aircraft-grade aluminum featuring an anodized finish to increase durability and corrosion resistance for rough environments.
Being an FFP, or First Focal Plane scope, the reticle holdovers remain constant at any given magnification. As the user zooms in, the reticle gets bigger and it transforms from the “donut-of-death” to the modern etched subtension lines for ranging and holdovers.
Personally, I’m a big fan of EOTECH’s LPVO reticles, having used their 1-6 for over a year now. While not “daylight bright,” they are very useable and quick to pick up.
Available with three different reticle options, consumers will be able to purchase a model that will work best for them. EOTECH plans to use the SR-4 MOA, SR-5 MRAD, and LE-5 MRAD reticles in their 1-10 as seen in the picture below.
This LPVO also comes with a throw lever for quickly adjusting magnification. The new throw lever is shorter than the one previously provided with their 1-6 and 1-8 scopes, which is welcomed as the last one was a little too long in my opinion. The magnification has a well-balanced amount of friction to zoom in and out which will keep it where you left it when the rifle is slung on your shoulder and you are moving around.
Coming in with an MSRP of $1,799, the EOTECH Vudu 1-10×28 FFP is much more competitive than some of the other optics in its category.
EOTECH says these LPVO’s will be available in March and they are aiming to ship in April. Click HERE to find this LPVO over on EOTECH’s website.

Made me laugh made in Japan
It wasn’t the price that made me laugh. It was when I read that it wasn’t daylight bright and then saw the price. Otherwise it actually looks pretty good especially for three gun etc.
Can we still call these scopes LPVO’s when they approach 10x power? Nothing low power about them when you exceed a 2-7x or 3-9x scope.
made me laugh when I saw the price……
Me too, laughed more when i seen your comment!
