FK BRNO’s New PSD Pistol is a Versatile Powerhouse – Epic Shoot 2021

in Handguns, Jeff Cramblit

One of the most interesting new product releases at the Big Daddy Unlimited Epic Shoot was the new BRNO PSD. The single-action-only PSD is designed around firing a powerful proprietary 7.5 caliber cartridge. If fires a 95-grain hollow point at 2000 fps or a 101gr flat tipped bullet at 1950 fps, with around 850-foot pounds of energy.

Quick and easy barrel swaps.

In addition, with a barrel and magazine change, it can be fitted to fire a 9mm, 10 mm, or a 40 S&W cartridge. When firing the 7.5 round the sound and concussion lets you know you are shooting a serious powerhouse, but the recoil is easily controllable due to the Recoil Mitigation System installed below the barrel and forward of the trigger. PSD stands for Police Sport Defense and is based around the legendary CZ design. However, with its fine sights and smooth trigger, I think the PSD is destined to make a serious dent in the hog population.

Chambered in 7.5FK, an unusual round that packs quite a punch. The Field Pistol model is single action only.

FK BRNO Field Pistol has a familiar CZ-esque design with some enhancements. It’s a great-looking piece.
