What’s better than a folding AR? A double folding AR! Right?
But whatever your fancy, FoldAR is bringing both the standard FoldAR and Double FoldAR to market this fall. The Texas-based, veteran-owned company announced this week that their patented folding AR pistols and rifles, as well as uppers, are now available for pre-order. These USA-made firearms and parts are scheduled to ship on Oct. 30th.
Caliber options include: .223 Wylde , .224 Valkyrie , .300Blackout , 6.5 Grendel, and 6.8SPC. Prices for rifle and pistol configurations start at $1,495. Uppers carry an MSRP of $850, and the Double FoldAR is listed at $1,945.

What makes the Double FoldAR different from the standard FoldAR is that not only does the barrel fold in but so too does the stock. Altogether, when folded, it sports an overall length of only 10-3/4-inches.
Right now we have more questions about the FoldAR and the Double FoldAR than answers. How does the folding mechanism work? How well does it lock up when the barrel is extended? Does accuracy suffer after sustained use? Does the convenience justify the price tag? How does it compare to other AR “takedowns” on the market? And on and on. We’re hoping to get one in for review in the near future to answer those questions. Stay tuned.
What we do know now, for sure, is that all FoldAR products come with a lifetime warranty. That’s nice to see, especially for a innovative product that’s relatively new to the market. For more information visit FoldAR.com.
For a moment there I thought that was the free gun they offered David Hogg.
How about that. Amazing. We are lucky enough to be living in the golden age of guns.
