Colt's 1911 Government Competition Series in .45 ACP is built on a stainless steel frame and slide and fitted with a 5 in National Match® barrel for enhanced accuracy. It uses Colt's Series 70™ firing system, ships with Novak® adjustable rear and a fiber-optic Novak® front sight, and features competition ergonomics with upswept beavertail grip safety.
The Competition Series example comes with Colt Competition blue G10 grips and an 8+1 capacity (45 ACP). It is a single-action, full-size Government-style 1911 intended for sport/competition and range use.
