The Smith & Wesson M&P9 Shield is a slim, single-stack 9mm pistol built on a polymer frame with a stainless-steel slide and barrel finished in a corrosion-resistant coating. It ships with both a flat and extended magazine and is offered in 7+1 and 8+1 capacity configurations.
Designed for concealed carry and personal protection, the Shield features a passive trigger safety, a sear-release takedown lever that allows disassembly without pressing the trigger, a loaded-chamber indicator on the slide, and a fixed textured backstrap with additional forward grip texturing.
