We are offering for sale an early Dixie Works musket marked “Turner-Kirkland, Union City, Tenn. This is a beautiful Kentucky Style rifle most likely made from a kit. It features a nice 40” octagon barrel chambered in .45 Cap & Ball. Musket has brass fittings including a decorative patch box and case hardened lock and tang. 40” barrel is 98% retaining the majority of bluing with some light overall wear. Muzzle is decoratively engraved; Bore is bright and clean. Barrel is marked “Made in Belgium”. Case colored lock features a fox engraving; Hammer and tang show beautiful colors as well. Stock is very good with signs of use; nicks and dings. No breaks or cracks. Original ramrod included. Brass crescent butt plate.
