This .17 is manufactured by CBC of Ribeirão Pires, Brazil. Importer and warrantor is Mossberg International of Eagle Pass, Texas. Our sku and upc numbers are approximate on this variant. Type is clip fed bolt action rimfire rifle. Barrel is 21 inch threaded tapered medium right hand six groove 1:9 rifled with countersunk muzzle recess. It has a detachable lightweight Barrett type Muzzle Brake that brings its overall barrel length up to 23 1/2 inches. This rifle has no sights, but comes with a Barska 3x9 variable, 40mm Wide Angle matte finish scope mounted on Weaver or Picatinny type bases. Receiver is milled steel 1.06 wide with .25 wall thickness, strong enough to withstand a rebarrel to most any case capable of clearing the 1.76 ejection port. Ejector is stable blue steel, embedded into the trigger group assembly. Chambering is .17 Hornady Magnum caliber, detachable factory magazine holds 5 rounds of ammunition, so 5 + 1 capacity. Bolt is two piece steel body with collar type .024 thick extractor, matte blue steel handle and matching firing pin assembly. Owners will need some good old Israeli savlanut, patience, for aligning and reinserting the bolt. Trigger group is anodized alloy with right hand shooter push button safety mounted forward of the trigger. Trigger is .220 smooth faced, factory set in the 4 1/2 pound vicinity with moderate felt creep. Stock is Mossberg Sport Grip® thumb hold black synthetic with fold down forend, length of pull measures 14 1/2 inches from the trigger face to the end of the butt plate. Weight empty with Scope and brake is 6 pounds 6 ounces with center of gravity at the chamber. Finish is blue steel with black anodized trigger group. This rifle is what we call a factory demo, it has served with Mossberg’s sales force at trade shows and with their reps, attest the factory stamped letter U on its receiver. Surface detractions are negligible to minimal, really no more than a new display specimen in a gun store. It comes in its factory box with protective paper, lock, and instruction manual that includes the factory warranty statement.
