Merkel 147E 20 gauge SXS Shotgun, Enhanced Engraving, Fancy Wood

For sale is a Merkel 147E 20 gauge side by side shotgun. This gun has enhanced engraving. The receiver is fully engraved on all 4 sides. There is additional engraving on upper and lower tangs, trigger guard, release lever, edges of the breech end of barrel, forend latch, and all screw heads. Even the hidden screw heads under the forend are engraved. All screws are registered - facing the same direction. The gun has 26 inch barrels choked improved cylinder and modified. It has 3 inch chambers. There are 2 triggers. The front trigger fires the right IC barrel and the rear trigger fires the left Mod barrel. The safety is automatic, a general requirement in Europe, and is tang mounted. It has automatic, selective ejectors. The stock is the English style straight grip. It has a 1 1/2 inch drop at comb, 2 1/2 inch drop at heel, and 14 3/8 inch length of pull to front trigger. It has a slight 1/4 inch cast off for right hand shooters. It has a splinter forend. I have a Galco leather hand guard that slides down over the barrels and forend and will keep your hand from getting burned. I will include that hand guard with the gun. The matching wood on the forend and buttstock have fantastic figure. Could be grade 2 but I purchased the gun used and no documentation came with it. The barrels are perfectly regulated and shot to point of aim at 30-35 yds. It patterned very well at 30 yards with Remington Premier STS 2 3/4 inch #8 target loads. Nice even pattern with no open holes. It comes with an Americase hard case with the factory Merkel logo inside. This is a $400 option and will be included with the gun. The case is very heavy and will add considerable shipping cost. As an example, I purchased this gun out of Alabama. I live in Georgia, a border state. It cost $40 shipping and $65 insurance for a total of $105 shipping just for a couple hundred miles between the two states. That's why I set the shipping costs at $115.00.
