Zastava Arms .32 ACP M70-1 Tokarev type Pistol 9 Shot 7.65 Browning Blued Steel Excellent 1991 Yugoslavian Police Kragujevac

Here is a Cold Warrior pistol from our opponents’ side, a genuine Zastava Yugoslavian manufactured model M70-1 steel frame Tokarev design pistol, chambered in .32 ACP Caliber. This pistol came from service with the Yugoslavian State Police in what is now the State of Serbia. The Soviets pirated John M. Browning’s 1903 design and modified and chambered the new pistol for their purposes in 1970 to replace their revolvers, then shared their milling equipment to entice the Independent Yugoslavs during the Cold War. Zastava Arms began production in their Kragujevac Serbia plant for Tito’s Communist Army in 1957, and this .32 came on line in 1970. From this one’s 91 code frame butt marking and from its 256000 serial number, it was manufactured in 1991 as Yugoslavia was breaking up. Slide is stamped, Made in Yugoslvaia. Barrel, slide, and frame are matching numbers. Any trigger or magazine numbers do not match. Type is blowback, Tokarev single action semi automatic pistol. Construction is entirely steel metal. Chambering is 7.65 Browning, or .32 ACP Caliber. Barrel is 3 5/8 inches, with 6 groove right hand 1:14 Rifling. Slide carries a Tokarev bushing. Sights are slide integral blade front and dovetailed blade rear that is drift adjustable only for windage. Trigger is .195 serrated face steel, with a solid commander type .300 serrated hammer. Trigger pull is two stage with a stiff but crisp 7 pound pull and no felt creep or overtravel. Safety is left side mounted for right handed shooters. Magazine release is right handed, mounted beside the trigger. The magazine holds 8 rounds, 8 + 1 fully loaded capacity. The M70 has a magazine safety; it will not fire with the magazine removed. It does not have any firing pin safety. Dimensions are 6 3/8 inches length; 4 1/2 inches height; .824 inch slide thickness at the ejection port; and 1.59 grip frame thickness including the grips. Weight is 22 1/4 ounces centered at the trigger. Finish is brushed surface blued steel, with white steel barrel. Surface detractions are minimal. We rate this pistol as Excellent condition, 80 percent vicinity by our estimate, but photos ought to suffice for our distinguished shoppers to judge finish grade for themselves.
