Winchester Model 1873 rifle in .44 WCF. Serial number 205588B was made in 1886 and features a 24-inch octagon barrel with buckhorn rear sight. DIMENSIONS: Length of pull to crescent butt plate is 12.75 inches. Weight is 8.8 pounds and barrel measures .850-inch across the flats at the muzzle. CONDITION: Bore is strong and bright, with only a slight hint of rough spots. Metal finish appears to be all original and remains about 60%. Wood appears to have some added finish, although it is difficult to determine if deliberate varnish or a protective oil. The forend has scattered impressions and a small chip at the upper right rear corner. The stock has a few small impressions. The price is firm and layaway is available.
