The Model 21 is an American icon with a well-deserved reputation. A strikingly handsome gun with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure. Most double gun enthusiasts are keenly aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself. With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. This beautiful M21, sn13555 built in 1938, is a great find as it RETAINS 98% FACTORY BLUE AND WOOD FINISH AND IS UNMOLESTED IN ANY WAY SINCE IT LEFT THE FACTORY. The gun was shipped with 28” barrels choked WS1 and WS2 that still have perfect mirror bores, no dents or dings and fit tight as new on the hinge pin and standing breech of the receiver with the opening lever well right of center. This M21 has the very desirable features of the English stock, nicely figured wood, beavertail forend, and the longer, hard to find 28” barrels. There are a lot of Model 21 guns for sale right now, but almost all have been restored and look like somebody painted the receivers black and have the short 26” barrels. This gun is original with the factory charcoal blue on the receiver and only a few light handling marks to show for its 79 years of light use. There are so few untouched M21 guns left on the planet that these premium guns are getting more valuable every day as you enjoy their use in the field and on the clays course. Winchester Skeet #2 choke is actually tighter than IC, so these guns are superb for upland game over dogs, grouse, skeet, and sporting clays.
