Seller Description
This is an exceptional example of a Model 12 "Trap" SN 1137XXX. I have examined this gun closely and used the reference books by Riffle and Madis to verify style, type and completeness. This gun does appear to have been refinished at one point but done in the traditional Winchester manner. It is of 1948 manufacture with a 30" barrel, choked full and marked "trap" on its underside. It has a gold trigger and safety and the bolt body and follower are jeweled The LOP is 13 3/4"; Drop at Comb is 1 3/4' and Drop at Heel is 2 1/2". The rib is the correct Winchester milled style, matte finish, secured correctly above the magazine tube/barrel band with two pins. The "duckbill" is the correct length and is mounted center on the top of the receiver. The wood is beautifully finished walnut with prominent checkering and no obvious cracks or splits. The forearm has the "3" diamond checkering pattern on the underside. The grip cap is metal and the recoil pad is authentic Winchester. Please check my photos carefully and send any questions you might have via email. There is a three day non-firing inspection period.
