Seller Description
This is a Winchester Model 70 pre-war caliber 30-06 built to represent an USMC Sniper rifle. This rifle was built two years ago by Texas Brigade Armory. The stock work and inletting were done by Connor McLeod. The rifle has a new 24" Douglas medium contour barrel and comes with the correct vintage Unertl bases. This is the same barrel manufacturer that supplied barrels for the Model 70s during the Vietnam war when the Winchester factory barrels were no longer serviceable. The correct 1 1/4" sling swivels and sling are included. The gun has been test fired only. The rifle was built to replicate the type of rifle USMC Gunnery Sgt. Carlos Hathcock used during his first tour of duty in Vietnam. This rifle is NOT an original USMC issued gun. NOTE: UNERTL SCOPE SHOWN IS NOT INCLUDED AND IS NOT FOR SALE. Questions and requests for additional pictures are welcome. SHIPPING: Firearms must shipped to a current FFL holder. Receiving FFL documentation must be faxed to the shipping FFL. There are no exceptions to this rule. Shipping will be paid by seller. Payment: Payment method is Postal Money Order only (or cash if a local sale). I have compensated for this expense by paying the shipping cost.
