As the photos show, this barrel has two places on its upper surface that show brown fiberglass, and several more smaller scuffed areas in the black finish, particularly on the muzzle. We estimate that the scuffing affects about 30 percent of the surface area. Borewise, light streaking affects the rear half of the bore forward of the chamber up to the midpoint, and there is much less streaking effect on the muzzle end half of the bore. As usual, there is light pitting in the chamber area where the shotgun’s chamber sleeve inserts; but this is not unusual on these barrels. Choke constriction on this barrel is .721 according to the Mitutoyo Dial Caliper. This is a genuine Winchester Winlite barrel for the long-retired but very popular Winchester Model 59 Shotgun.
