Manufactured 1982
This commemorative introduced in 1982 by the U.S. Repeatin Arms Company, was the first commemorative to utilize the beefed up Model 94 "Big Bore" receiver.
Its purpose was to honor the nation's symbol, the American Bald Eagle, and a portion of the revenue from the sales of this model were donated to the establishment for a Bald Eagle Interpretive Center and a Bald Eagle Foundation in Haines, Alaska.
The Silver Edition features a straight grip, flat comb stock with wraparound steel butt plate and the standard forearm, both of selected walnut with satin finish. A medallion, inlaid in the butt stock, has an American bald eagle in deep relief with the words "American Bald Eagle" around the top and is silver plated.
The receiver is roll-engraved with a bust of and eagle and scrollwork on the right side, and the left side shows an eagle in flight, again with scrollwork.
The barrel, with has standard sights, (hooded front sight and semi-buckhorn rear sight) is engraved "American Bald Eagle " and filled with silver.
The serial number of American Bald Eagle - Silver Edition were EBE201 through ABE3000.
