Seller Description
Up for your consideration is quite possibly the FINEST .22 rifle ever built - the SUPER-RARE Walther Model 2 (Model II). This fine German, pre-war rifle is quite ingenious in that you could fire it as a semi-automatic, bolt-action, or single-shot. This beauty features a 24.5 inch Nitro-proofed medium-heavy barrel with "BUG" marks, checkered wooden stock with a sleek cartouche, tangent rear sight, ramped front sight, iron sling swivels, Mauser-style safety, factory Walther-marked butt plate, and not one but TWO RARE MAGAZINES. (A magazine for this rifle costs upward of $100 IF you can manage to even locate one) And for your reading pleasure, I have also included a fascinating modern copy of a 16-PAGE BROCHURE/user manual DATED 1936 detailing complete instructions on the technical data, proper use, and maintenance of this amazing rifle. Based on my research, this rifle was the second-most expensive .22 rifle of the 7 different models offered in the years leading up to WWII, surpassed in cost only by the single-shot Olympic Master Rifle. Like all of the pre-owned weapons that I offer for sale, this rifle is being sold as-is, but I can personally testify that it does fire and is deadly-accurate, having set a new record for accuracy during tests at the German Test House in 1936, according to the brochure. Ground Shipping & Handling is only $25.00. If the buyer prefers, I can have a silver front sight installed for $50. Also, I may be able to locate a 9-shot magazine, although it will not be cheap. Don't let this RARE masterpiece slip you by! Thanks for looking
