Mauser K98k Waffenfabrik Brunn, dot 43, matching, 1943, great bore

German Mauser K98k Waffenfabrik Brunn 8mm from 1943. Serial number 1692 appears on action, rear sight (2x), bolt handle, shroud, safety, front barrel band and bottom metal (2x). Other markings include Waffenamts, "p" on left front ring, "dot" and "43" on top of front ring. Stock (toe line) has three characters that are faint but appear to be "CO?". Sling shows "L&F". Barrel is 24 inches long. CONDITION: A social security number is lightly scratched on the rear sight assembly (underside, must lift rear sight all the way forward to see). It appears the stock was drilled at one time for sling attachments (never used and filled). The bore is bright and strong. Markings are all sharp. Metal finish is about 80% overall. Some roughness to surface appears near muzzle on top of barrel. Price firm. Layaway considered. Photo package by request (include email address).
