We need measurements of your barrel at the muzzle and 1.625? back in thousandths of an inch or hundredths of a millimeter. Using good quality calipers or a micrometer take several measurements around the barrel at these two points and average each." . This particular clamp on adapter was ordered for a Savage Model 12BVSS fluted stainless steel 26 inch barrel chambered in 22-250 which is why you see the caliber on the adapter. The caliber is of no real consequence under the 25 caliber range because of throat measurement on the device (see photo). The measurement numbers stamped on the device are before the caliber I ordered (22-250) and the "810-830" is for the barrel diameter sizing. You can use your own judgement or inquire with any machinist to see if this would work for your particular barrel. The difference in numbers is to allow for the barrel taper in this particular instance. I bought this adapter in lieu of paying a couple of hundred dollars to get my barrel threaded a couple of years ago. Its a very good and cost effective alternative at the original price of $75.00 that I paid. I have since saved up enough of my pennies to get my barrel threaded and I no longer need this device.
