Rice swamp Barrel,58 cal.,White lightnin touchhole,fancy wood.
Trigger pull 14",barrel 42",drop at heel 2 7/8",drop at comb 1 5/8",cast off 1/4", 8 lbs.15 ozs.,Peanut patch box.
This type of rifle would have been used in the French and Indian war and the Revolutionary used as a every day tool by settlers and hunters from the mid. 18 th. to the early 19 th.century.
This rifle is typical of Southern rifles,the British wrist and lock,the Germanic check piece much like the Yorks of dcorative finals show German and French influence the peanut patch box found on some Virginia rifles but are rare.
This rifle can be use for any thing one would like to do with it,it would be a very good hunter the 58 cal. will bring down any thing in North America.
