U.S. HASTON Model 1842 Percussion Pistol ~ .54 Cap & Ball ~ Antique Military Weapon

We are offering for sale a U.S. HASTON Model 1842 Percussion Pistol. This gun is in very good, collectible condition. Lock plate is dated 1850; Barrel dated 1846. Gun shows a very nice brown patina and remains in fully functioning condition, complete with ramrod. 8 ½” smoothbore is chambered for .54 caliber ammunition. The barrel is good with surface wear; brown patina. “US”, “GWH” and “P” are all marked on the left side of the barrel approaching the breech end. “1846” marked on tang. Lock plate is good with wear; patina. “US HASTON” mark is on the lighter side, as is the “Middtn Conn 1850” mark behind the hammer. Hammer cocks tightly and has tremendous forward force. Trigger functions flawlessly. Furniture is good with two strong cartouches on the left hand side. There are a couple small closed cracks, most notably on the left side, under the bar. Brass components remain unpolished and shows a beautiful patina. Original ramrod is intact, albeit slightly bent. It remains in fully functioning condition. NICE, HONEST EXAMPLE!
