Here is the original, still viable ergonomic grip revolver grip adapter. This one is the most traditional of all, the Tyler #1, to fit any Smith & Wesson Compact Revolver in J frame. Magna Service grips are required, like the traditional Goncalo Alves Factory grips on our Reagan Era model 36 Chief’s Special in the photos, which is not for sale on this listing. Current production factory Smith & Wesson Dymondwood Service Magnas will work also for Tyler Ts, and we’re adding a photo of them, that we usually have listed on this same electronic venue as our stock number GR21995. These grip adapters are a welcome addition to Smith & Wesson Models 30, 31, 33, 34, 36, 37, 38, 40, 42, 48 and their 6 prefix Stainless Descendants; and all variants of the Model 60. They also fit the Air Lite Series of revolvers with digit 3 prefixes, attest the new model 360 Air Lite in the photos that we dressed up with 1980s walnut panels. The 360 is not for sale on this listing. Construction of this variant of the Tyler T is not stainless steel; but rather polished aluminum alloy with copper alloy retaining tab assembly. Tylers provide support for the shooter’s middle and ring fingers, with enough space for the pinky to rest on the grip frame front strap. They also allow access to the strain screw without removing the grips. Their purpose is a better feel, but they also allow a much smaller grip circumference than Rubber or Combat grips, and they help allay muzzle flip with magnum loads. These grip adapters, with the above listed requirements, are relatively easy to install. All a person needs to do is loosen their revolver’s grip panel just enough for the copper tabs to fit around the grip frame’s front strap, slide it into place and then retighten the grip screws.
