Thompson/Center Arms HAWKEN Rifle Kit .45 cal Percussion Model No. 5112 Serial Number: K169897. I am the original owner of this black powder rifle kit which I purchased from Gander Mountain Inc. around 40 years ago but never did anything with it. It is in the original box in mint condition just as I received it, i.e. completely unassembled and unfinished. The first time the parts of this kit were removed from the box was to take the pictures for this listing. All of the parts are in their original packaging. Box is in excellent condition. The kit includes an American Walnut Stock, top quality Octagonal Rifled Barrel, Hook Breech System, Coil Spring Lock, Wooden Ramrod, Double Set Triggers and Fully Adjustable Hunting Sights. Also included are all of the instruction booklets that came with it. From searching the internet, it appears that these .45 caliber Thompson Center Muzzle Loader HAWKEN rifles are pretty rare, especially as original unbuilt kits. This kit was manufactured by Thompson/Center Arms in Rochester, New Hampshire 03867. As far as I can tell, they no longer manufacture this Hawken Rifle Kit .45 cal Percussion Model No. 5112.
