Blade Length - 9.375" (238mm)
Handle Length - 4.88" (124mm)

Blade Design - double-edged and unfullered
Serial Number - 70702
Ricasso Marks - stylized "F" over "+W" inside a circle. The "F over +W" mark indicates assembly by Waffenfabrik Bern, while "V” identifies the blade supplier as Victorinox. Scabbard Marks – throatpiece has "P" (in cursive script) identifying the throat maker as the firm Paillard AG of St. Croix. “UTZ” in a circle mark on scabbard indicates production by Georg Utz AG, headquartered in Bremgarten.
Handle Marks - “W” in a circle and the number “2”.
Condition - Military issue used with some handling marks and 2 small nicks on the handle. Includes scabbard with light scratches. This bayonet is currently an antique and no longer being made, make sure to get one while they are still around. This blade appears to be new and has light rub marks on the blade from the scabbard, and the tip is not damaged. Surgical Stainless Steel Blade. 7/8" wide blade. 1/4" thick blade. Solid one-piece black grooved composition handle. All parts work.
Unlike previous Swiss bayonets, the Model 1957 bayonets were numbered separately, rather than when the rifle was issued to the soldier. The soldier's issued M1957 bayonet's serial number will not match the issued Stgw57 rifle.
