Swedish Mauser M94 Carbine

1915 stamped Swedish Mauser 94 Carbine in 6.5X55. S/N H.K.61212. All numbers match although bolt has been overstamped to match rifle number. Barrel length 18". Bore is clean and shiny. Metal in excellent condition with parkerizing/bluing thinned to a lead-gray patina. No corrosion. Wood is a pretty vertical tiger stripe but looks heavily used once upon a time with dings and dents but no cracks. Rear sight is Williams adjustable target sight. This was my first high-powered rifle 45 years ago. Glassy smooth action and bolt. It shoots very well, has been well cared for, and well stored. More pictures available. Ask any questions. UPDATED INFO: Upon suggestion by a couple of kind individuals, I have better educated myself on this rifle via Dutchman Rebooty site. The following is added to more accurately describe this listing: This is a M94 carbine. Apparently it is one of the most sought after Mausers for collectors. That has apparently also resulted in fakes. Also, for the first time since I have owned it, I now know it did have a different rear sight and different wood over the fore end of the rifle. Therefore please note that that part of this rifle is not original. However, I have looked to see if these original sights are available on the internet and I found at least one for not much money. It is my hope that some interested collector may desire my old rifle and take the time that I do not have to put an original sight back on. I assume a wood piece may also be available at some point. I believe the rest to be complete and correct. Please be aware that the stock on this rifle was inletted to accept the current Williams rear aperture sight. Lastly, based on the fact that I have owned this rifle for so long, and that at the time I acquired it it would have added little to the value for so much work to fake, and that all the areas that are listed on the above site as areas that would show the fake, it is my belief that it is truly a M94 carbine. I can also attest to the high level of workmanship on the Swedish Mauser, as it is has always had a wonderful feel working the action and firing, and the wood-to-metal fit is tight save some shrinkage near the buttplate. It is possible the value of this rifle may now be different. It wouldnt be fair now to raise the price, and that it doesnt have the correct rear sight, it may be even be worth less. Your call.
