Springfield Model 1903 two wars rifle

Very fine Springfield US Model 1903 Rifle. Serial number 1461784. Made 1934, when Springfield had time to make them very well. Barrel appears original, being Springfield 2-28 made with four grooves. All early forged parts, save for the WWII butt plate. Stock shows inspector's cartouche and ahead of the trigger guard, sub inspector's marks. On the wrist is the "P" in the circle Proof mark. Grand collector Springfield that was likely used in Banana Wars up to WWII and then reissued to serve in WWII, when the US was very short of rifles. More details and photos upon request.
