Springfield Armory Model 1903 .30-06. Serial number 563271 has a barrel date of 9/09, indicating a probably arsenal rebuild. Markings include an "S" on the foremost tip of the stock, "H" on the bayonet lug, "P" on the left side of the stock just below the rear bridge and "27" above a cartouche near the trigger guard. Barrel is 24 inches long. CONDITION: Bore shows some wear and a general light roughness. Metal finish is about 60%, with some thinning and scaling. Two small rust blooms appear on the right side of the band (on lug and sling look screw). Stock was likely sanded at the arsenal and is cracked at the bolt. Price firm. Layaway considered.
