Springfield Model 1861 Civil War Musket 58 cal Bore VG plus with strong rifling, Mech Exc, Wood Excellent with strong contours and cartouche has a initial F ahead of the lockplate on the right side. Has an excellent wood to metal fit all around. Has a 40” Rd barrel with orig. sights and partial date and VP Eagle head proofs . The lockplate is dated 1861 and has the eagle US Springfield markings.
