Along with its non-Fluted cylinder, here is what made the limited edition Talo special Non-Fluted 686-6 Distinguished Combat Magnum a Talo: the grips. These are specially cut rosewood-tint laminate, somewhat on the order of the classic Target grips of the 1970s and 1980s. Photos show a set just as it came from Smith & Wesson and Talo, SKU was 150712. The four revolvers we had with these grips on them, left the Smith & Wesson factory in May of this year. These special edition grips allow a firm hold with classic good looks. They are some of the most attractive, good feeling, and positive gripping stocks ever sold for the K or L Frame. Note the stippled checkering pattern, with the factory Logo in raised relief at the top area of each panel, and the scalloped shield motif lower down on the panels.
