Smith & Wesson .44 Russian Double Action Pistol

Smith & Wesson .44 Russian Double action Pistol, 1st year production 1874(!) and by the serial it is within the 1st 6 months of production! Has pretty red Gutta Percha grips, 5.023" Barrel Serial #5xx (Avg of 1708 made per production year) Blue is at 60-70% and pistol is in very fine shape with numbers ALL matching! Correct designation would refer to it as "44 Caliber Double Action First Model" and "New Model Navy No.3 Revolver" in the "S&W 1874-1945" by Barnes Publishing. Only 54668 were made total according to the S&W Book. The inside of the barrel is in great shape (see pictures) apparently kept very clean prior to it coming into my family in 1977. The .44 Russian ammo is very hard to find although some is listed here on GunsAmerica, my father used to own this pistol after purchasing it in 1977 and has fired some rounds through and reloaded it, but I do not know where the die set is for reloading but will send them to whomever buys the 44 Russian after I get unpacked!
