This scope has never been to China, unlike the flood of cheap optics we are now awash with. It is 100% Japanese, a Tasco Water Proof Super Con #667V, manufactured some time in the 1970s. Optics are clear and sharp, the purplish coated lenses are intact and clear, and it has the very attractive and nostalgic round-beveled eyepiece collar. Just as important, it is TV view with 4-plex type crosshairs. Finishwise, it is Very Good if not Excellent, with only a mild amount of white showing mostly around the eyepiece collar and bell. The gold-inked Super Con marking is weak, but the Water Proof Japan white ink is strong. This scope would be age appropriate for any 1970s firearm from pre-lock Marlins to H&R or H&K .22 Magnum Autoloaders.
