Savage model 99, 300 Savage......REDUCED

Savage model 99 (300 Savage caliber) 24" bbl. NICE overall condition. Stock is 90% +, shows very few handling marks, the rich dark blue has some minor wear, a few blemishes- on the front sight and muzzle, also some tiny specks on both sides of the receiver. The case coloring on the lever is very good. There has been a recoil pad added, from "Thurman Randle & Co., Dallas, Texas. The scope mount is a Stith with a Norman-Ford & Co. "Texan" scope. Sharp, clear optics for its age, outstanding quality for its time, and in great condition. The rifle has been taken care of and spent most of its life in a gun safe. A Quality Piece! The serial number shows 1948 productionn. There is no letter designator, and no date code,( aka LBC.) There is a small asterisk on the lever boss.
