Savage 1920 Model in 300 Savage - VERY SCARCE

Very Hard to find Savage Model 1920 Bolt Action Magazine rifle (5 shot)in 300 Savage Caliber. Early gun, Serial # 6XXX. I have been watching most of the sites and have not seen one of these for sale in the past 4 months. There were only 5 we heard of at the Tulsa Gun Show and we had three of those. The other two were refinished and they were still asking above $1500.00 for either. We sold the two 20/26's as a pair in both calibers. These were only built in 250/3000 and 300 Savage with the 300 Savage the rarer of the two. Don't refer to any books on these guns because so few have been sold in the past 10 years that the pricing is about 1/4 to 1/3rd of what the collectors are paying for good ones and this is a "Good One". Again, most people don't even know what these are. They were way ahead of their time when they were introduced in 1920. This piece has 97% of the Original Rust Blue Finish with the Wood retaining all of 95%+ Original Varnish with the one small bugger shown in photo # 4. Otherwise, just normal handling marks which we see on a 90 year old gun, nothing major. 24" Barrel with a Perfect Bore, Proper Sights, Butt-Plate, Pistol Grip Cap, Rear Tang Safety and Great Checking.
