LG3013 From what little we can glean from the armorer’s markings on this Revelation 350 H Shotgun, it was manufactured in 1970 or 1971. This is, of course, a Savage 94 Single Shot made for Western Auto. It is a classic traditional single shot with its breech lever behind the hammer. Stock and forend are blonde-toned hardwood with darkness from oil; receiver is anodized finish gray steel, and blue steel barrel. This is a local shotgun that has hunted fox squirrels in the Hatchie River Basin, and its metal finish on the blued steel parts is about 60 percent blue mixed with brown pantina. Buttstock has its share of small dings, but only one hairline crack directly behind the receiver’s upper tang, less than 1 inch with no separation. Forend plate has been professionally glassed into place. Bore is Very Good, no more than 5 percent internal light pitting and that toward the back of the bore. Chamber is Very Good as well. The star of the show is the 36 inch full choke barrel, and this was among the last Savage shotguns so equipped. We classify it as Good to Very Good, and Very Good to Excellent mechanically. Muzzle constriction, muzzle diameter is an extremely tight, super full .662. Photos should suffice for prospective owners to judge finish grade for themselves.
